Has the Hour Come?

 ‘Before the Hour comes, there will be years of deceit, in which a truthful person will be disbelieved and a liar will be believed; and the insignificant will have a say’. (Ahmad)*

*Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, ‘Years of treachery will come over people in which liars are believed and the truthful are denied, the deceitful are trusted and the trustworthy are considered traitors, and the al-Ruwaybaḍah will deliver speeches.’

It was said, ‘Who are the al-Ruwaybaḍah?’ The Prophet said, ‘Petty men with authority over the common people.’

(Ibn Mājah)

Looking at these Ahadith, A person mentioned that this prophecy is already fulfilled. But I think that this is not the case everywhere.

Yes this is true that many liars are believed while the truthful are denied, but this is not common as yet. For example, Look at the United States, about half the people voted for Donald Trump who is a liar and a treacherous person and people believe him to be their Messiah, but still a majority of people consider him a liar that he is.

Similarly looking at Imran Khan who is former prime minister of Pakistan, one of the biggest liars who ever happened in the history of that Country. A big number of people consider him trust-worthy and true, but still majority understand that he's a liar. Khan was also thrown out of the government with a vote of no-confidence just like Donald Trump.

So, the times are not that bad still and this, that people believe in liars and truthful are denied, is not the sign about today. 

But we are heading towards that sign at an alarming pace. A huge number of people trusting a liar like Khan and Trump is still alarming. We need to correct ourselves.
